Abstract: Image processing plays a vital role in various techno- logical advancements such as medical imaging, surveillance, au- tonomous systems, and augmented reality. Leveraging techniques such as filtering, enhancement, segmentation, and classification, image processing enables accurate and automated interpretation of visual data. This paper explores the core methodologies, real- world applications, and future directions of image processing. The integration of AI and deep learning has further improved the efficiency of image processing, enabling innovative use cases and expanding its potential.
