Abstract: This paper presents a survey of AI-powered mental health companions that are intended to enhance mental health and offer emotional support is presented in this paper. These systems simulate conversations and help users with stress, anxiety, and depression by utilising artificial intelligence, which includes chatbots, natural language processing, and emotion recognition. We examine current advancements, widely used applications, important technologies, and difficulties like accuracy, privacy, and moral dilemmas.
