Abstract: Visual content is becoming a major medium for social interaction on the internet, including various popular platforms like Flickr, Instagram and Facebook. Increased attention has been obtained by the visual sentiment analysis due to the rapidly grown number of images in online interactions. Several applications such as advertisement, education and entertainment emerged because of the development in this ﬁeld. Most work reported in the literature focuses on competent techniques for object recognition and its applications. This paper includes various approaches that have been used by different researchers for object detection.
