Abstract: Software-definedĀ  networkĀ  (SDN)Ā  isĀ  aĀ  network architectureĀ  that used to build, design the hardware componentsĀ  virtually. We can dynamically change the settings of network connections. In the traditional network,Ā  it'sĀ  not possible to change dynamically, because it's a fixed connection. SDN is a good approach but stillĀ  isĀ  vulnerableĀ  toĀ  DDoSĀ  attacks . TheĀ  DDoSĀ  attackĀ  isĀ  menacingĀ  toĀ  theĀ  internet.Ā  ToĀ  preventĀ  theĀ  DDoS attack,Ā Ā  the machine learningĀ  algorithmĀ  canĀ  beĀ  used.Ā  TheĀ  DDoSĀ  attackĀ  IsĀ  theĀ  multipleĀ  collaboratedĀ  systemsĀ  thatĀ Ā  usedĀ  toĀ  targetĀ  theĀ  particularĀ  serverĀ  atĀ  theĀ  sameĀ  time.Ā  InĀ  SDNĀ  controlĀ  layerĀ  isĀ  inĀ  theĀ  center thatĀ  linkĀ Ā  withĀ  theĀ  applicationĀ  andĀ  infrastructureĀ  layer,Ā  whereĀ  theĀ  devicesĀ  inĀ  theĀ  infrastructureĀ  layer controlledĀ  byĀ  theĀ  software.Ā  InĀ  thisĀ  paper,Ā  weĀ  proposeĀ  aĀ  machineĀ  learningĀ  techniqueĀ  namelyĀ  DecisionĀ Ā  TreeĀ  toĀ  detectĀ  maliciousĀ  traffic.Ā  OurĀ  testĀ  outcomeĀ  showsĀ  thatĀ  theĀ  DecisionĀ  TreeĀ  detectsĀ  whetherĀ  the attackĀ  isĀ  safeĀ  orĀ  not.
