Abstract
Multimodal Image Registration using Contourlet Transform
Abstract: Registration is the determination of a geometrical transformation that aligns points in one view of an object with corresponding points in another view of that object or another object. Image Registration deals with the matching of two images. Relationship between type of distortion and the type of image registration is the most important task. Image registration is becoming a crucial step in most image processing tasks. It is a key technology in computer vision, remote sensing, image processing, medical image analysis and other fields. The main objective is to match two or multiple images got at different times by different sensors or different angle. This is the fundamental task in image processing which can be used to match two or more pictures taken at different time or from different sensors or from different viewpoints. Various transforms can be used for the purpose. Medical imaging is the technique and process used to create images of the human body for clinical purposes seeking to reveal, diagnose medical science. It is often perceived to designate the set of techniques that noninvasively produce images of the internal aspect of the body. Medical image registration is to find a spatial transformation to match all the anatomical points and diagnostic points on the image. This paper presents a new technique for registration of multi modal images using mutual information.

The Campus Navigator An Android Mobile Application
Abstract: Nav igation is a technique which basically focuses on process of monitoring and controlling the movement of person or vehicle or craft fro m one place to another e.g.: Land navigation, Marine Navigation, Aeronautic Navigation etc. The campus navigator is the android mobile applicat ion which is basically used for navigating routes inside any campus premises e.g.: Mall, Co llege, Hospital etc... Mobile phones are nowadays far mo re tha n merely devices to communicate with. Especially, Smartphone’s are products that help to make our work and everyday life easier. A long with the advance in technology and popularity of these devices, the use of mobile applications has increased enormously in the last few years. Based on new techniques like GPS, sensors, compass and accelerometer, that can used to determine the orientation of the device, location -based applications coupled with augmented reality views are also possible. There are several co mmercial navigation applications - such as Google Maps, Yahoo Maps and Map quest that provide users with directions fro m one place to another. Ho wever, these applications must search along existing roads; they are not able to provide routes that are as precise as an on-campus path would require.

An Application of Ad Hoc Networks in Disaster Area for Search and Rescue Operation A Survery and Challenges
Abstract: Ad hoc network is infrastructure less network which posses characteristics like decentralized administration and very less efforts for setup. Due to this, it is most suitable for many applications like military, disaster area, rescue operation, collaborative computing and conference meeting where it is not possible to setup wired network or infrastructure based wireless network. During any disaster which can be natural or man-made, existing infrastructure may be destroyed so, ad hoc network can facilitate communication among team members (nodes) of rescue team during post disaster situation. There are many challenges for ad hoc network like modeling mobility, connectivity, routing protocol, broadcast method, and energy saving when it is applied to such disaster scenario. This paper presents a survey on ad hoc network for disaster area and discusses challenges and solution which are presented in literature as well some future direction.

Performance Analysis of Non-Beacon Enabled IEEE 802.15.4 based Secured Wireless Sensor Network
Abstract: Zigbee an IEEE 802.15.4 standard for low power and Low Rate Wireless Personal Area Networks (LRWPANs) are evolving as a promising technology to bring envisioned ubiquitous paragon, into realization. It is moulded on the physical layer and medium access control defined in IEEE 802.15.4. Since it’s a low power device, throughput enhancement is a challenging task in non-beacon enabled Zigbee network. Further, Zigbee interacts with sensitive data and operates in hostile unattended backgrounds. It is imperative that security concern can be addressed from the deployment of the system. To enhance throughput in the secured network, a home-node with Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) is deployed which is implicated in this paper. Performances metrics like throughput and delay are determined, analysed and compared with the prevailing network. The simulation model of IEEE 802.15.4 based wireless sensor network is modelled using OPNET.
Voice Enabled Android Application for Traffic Complaint and Pothole Notification System Using GPS and GSM-GPRS Technology
Abstract: Commuters in India face a lot of vehicular problems which usually go unreported and thus, unattended. Malfunctioning traffic lights, potholes and roads in bad conditions are only a few of the innumerable common thoroughfare problems that occasionally contribute to traffic chaos. People tend to ignore reporting those issues as the channels for making a complaint is inconvenient. Accuracy of complaints is also at doubt as it tends to be general e.g. Potholes at NIBM Road, in front SBI bank. This paper presents the architecture of a Global Positioning System (GPS) based approach for reporting thoroughfare problems via Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) for road maintenance management environment. To increase accuracy and efficiency, GPS can be used as it enables the tracking and tracing of the three figures of a GPS receiver’s coordinates namely longitude, latitude and altitude. Data like location, date and time will be optimizes by mapping the site of where the thoroughfare problem exists in a map, with the intention that the relevant authorities could identify the spot and have the problems resolved responsively. Since the proposed system is voice enabled and Android based on the complainant side, it will serve as a handier and convenient alternative means for Indian road users to send complaints to the relevant authorities, so that these issues could be addressed in a timely manner.

Enhance Security in Steganography with cryptography
Abstract: In many organizations like FBI and RAW share confidential and important data on any network. Hackers are always in wait for it. They hack the data and use it for their benefit. These peoples try to use these data to harm someone, they sale these important data to enemy countries. In either case, message sender or receiver has to pay the price. To protect from these undesirable acts, we can use Steganography and cryptography together to ensure security of the message. One of the most efficient and secure algorithms is RSA Algorithm for converting text message to cipher text. Steganography is the art and science of writing hidden messages in such a way that no-one apart from the sender and intended recipient even realizes there is a hidden message and Cryptography is a mechanism to convert message or data in non readable form.
Extended Faulty Nodes and Event Identification for WSNs Using IDM and SMM
Abstract: Wireless sensor networks (WSN) have gained great popularity, mainly because they provide a low cost alternative to solving a great variety of real-world problem. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are characterized by the dense deployment of sensor nodes that continuously observe physical phenomenon. In-network aggregation is an essential primitive for performing queries on sensor network data. Security in-network aggregation for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is a necessary and challenging problem. The existing techniques involves identification of malicious activities when one neighbouring node is compromised. The proposed system introduce the integration of system monitoring modules and intrusion detection modules when multiple neighbouring faulty nodes occur in the network. And also propose an extended Kalman filter (EKF) based local detection mechanism to detect false injected data. Specifically, by collecting the information from its neighbours and by using EKF to predict their future states (actual in-network aggregated values). Each node aims at setting up a normal range of the neighbours‟ future transmitted aggregated values. This is challenging task because of potential high packet loss rate, time delay, harsh environment, and sensing uncertainty. Using aggregation function (average), obtain a theoretical threshold. By comparing this threshold value with the measured value, conclude the whether the event is malicious or not.
Abstract: when users input their passwords in a public place, they may be at risk of attackers stealing their password. An attacker can capture a password by direct observation or by recording the individuals authentication session. This is referred to as shoulder-surfing and is a known risk, of special concern when authenticating in public places. Until recently, the only defense against shoulder-surfing was the alertness on the part of the user. Shoulder surfing resistant password authentication mechanism assure shoulder-surfing resistant authentication to user. It allows user to authenticate by entering pass-word in graphical way at insecure places because user never have to click directly on password icons. Usability testing of this mechanism showed that novice users were able to enter their graphical password accurately and to remember it over time. However, the protection against shoulder-sur_ng comes at the price of longer time to carry out the authentication.
An Analysis on Colorization-Based Compression Techniques
Abstract: In colorization-based coding the encoder picks a couple of representative pixels (RP) for which the chrominance values and the positions are sent to the decoder, although in the decoder, the chrominance values for all the pixels are recreated by colorization techniques. The fundamental issue in colorization-based coding is the manner by which to obtain the RP well in this manner the compression rate and the nature of the reproduced color image gets to be good. However, past studies on colorization-based coding obtain excess representative pixels and don't remove the pixels needed for suppressing coding errors. In this paper, an analysis on different colorization-based coding methods is done.
Low Overhead Energy Efficient Hierarchical Congestion Control Multicast routing for MANET
Abstract: Power-efficient multicast routing is just one of the essential issues in the subject of mobile ad hoc networks. Multicasting is actually a phrase which means delivering data packets to several mobile nodes from an intended source. Quality of Support enlarges the assistance degree of expected performance for community systems. This research work centers around design and development strategy of QoS aware power-efficient multicast routing method which best suits for wifi nodes moving across the network with varying mobility speed. The QoS measurements including average team delivery percentage, average electricity consumption and average delay are considered for calculating the performance of the proposed protocol QoS - PEMRP. Considerable simulation results are performed through NS2 simulator. In the simulation results it's demonstrated the planned QoS - PEMRP outperforms On Demand Multicast Routing Protocol (ODMRP) routing protocol by delay and increased packet delivery ratio along with decreased electricity usage.

A Optimally Enhanced Fuzzy K-C Means (Oefkcm) For Clustering Algorithm Medical Image Segmentation
Abstract: Medical image segmentation is worth concepts in the fields of Biomedical and Anatomical information. The biomedical images obtained by the diagnostic equipment’s are erroneous due to inception of the noise in wide band frequency. The brightness of the image is non uniform and the contrast is inhomogeneous. Hence the image thus obtained needs refinement and removal of noise and an attempt is made to enhance the region of interest by applying the image segmentation techniques. Many studies have improved more efficiency as far as subject is concerned. Numerous methods are proposed for medical image segmentation such as Clustering techniques, Thresholding technique, Classifier, Region Growing, Deformable Model, Markov Random Model, k-means, etc. Previously proposed mechanism is fuzzy k-c means in this mechanism number of cluster is lesser so the selection of number of iterations and convergence at the wrong minima. In proposed work we find out the no. of cluster by using an optimization technique of PSO and Cuckoo search technique using a Hybrid method to increase the cluster. It showed to be superior when compared to the other techniques.
Survey paper for Software Project Scheduling and Staffing Problem
Abstract: In software development effective project planning is essential. Failure to plan and/or poor management can cause delays and costs that, given timing and budget constraints, are often unacceptable, leading to business critical failures. Software development organizations often struggle to deliver projects on time, within budget and with the required quality. One possible cause of this problem is poor software project management and, in particular, inadequate project scheduling and ineffective team staffing. Software project scheduling problem (SPSP) is one of the important and challenging problems faced by the software project managers in the highly competitive software industry. As the problem is becoming hard with the increasing numbers of employees and tasks, only a few algorithms exist and the performance is still not satisfying. To develop a flexible and effective model for software project planning, in this paper we have tried to do the survey of several techniques and methodologies and results yielded are elaborated.

An Analysis of Digital Signal Processing in Monopulse Radars
Abstract: The most effective method for deriving information about spatial angles of a target is using Monopulse Radars. The name derives from the fact that the method is theoretically capable of obtaining a target`s angles using only one (mono) pulse. The Monopulse Radar System is mainly used for target detection and tracking. The information on the target angular position is determined by comparison of signals received in two or more simultaneous beams. A target will be seen by radar from the moment it enters the main antenna beam or from the moment it is illuminated by the transmitted radar antenna beam. The signal processor is that part of the system that separates the target from clutter on the basis of Doppler content and amplitude characteristics.

Resource Aware Location Monitoring Anonymization System for Wireless Sensor Networks
Abstract: Anonymzing wireless sensor networks allow users to access services from the server. In the network there can be a solitude threat of which users can view the content of the other users. Users can even modify copy or perhaps delete the information. To enable trusted sensor nodes to provide the aggregate location information of monitored persons for our system. Each aggregate location is in a form of a monitored area A along with the number of monitored persons residing in A, where A contains at least k persons. The resource-aware algorithm aims to minimize interaction and computational cost. To utilize the aggregate location information to provide location monitoring services, we use a spatial histogram approach that estimates the allocation of the monitored persons based on the assemble aggregate location information. Then the predictable distribution is used to allow location monitoring services through answering range queries. We evaluate our system through simulated experiments. The results show that our system provides high quality location monitoring services for system users and pledge the location privacy of the monitored persons.
Global Edge-Preserving Multiscale Decomposition for High Dynamic Range Image
Abstract: High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging is an area of increasing importance of display devices still has Limited Dynamic Range (LDR). Multiscale Decomposition image processing techniques have a reputation of causing halo artifacts when used for range compression. The synthesized Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) image contains much more scene details than any of the captured SDR image. The edge-preserving image decompositions assume image detail to be low contrast variation. This paper proposes a new method of balanced analysis-mixture filters applies with local gain control to the sub-bands systems for decomposing and reconstructing images. The Gradient-domain based algorithm on the properties of HVS for high dynamic range compression. Experimental results on real images demonstrate that our algorithm is especially effective at preserving or enhancing local details.

A Survey of Text mining Using User Required Information
Abstract: Now days, many companies for the sake of promoting their product and services sham the respective services content of their products amongst the organizations. This textual content contains significant amount of structured of useful information which is buried by the unstructured text or content. And therefore the text mining from that unstructured data is not effective and gives the ineffective results on to the clients and hence affects the business. In a typical organization, only 20% of the information that exists is well formed – living in relational databases or legacy mainframe transactional systems. This information which we refer to as structured information. In the same typical organization, 80% of the information that exists is often unstructured information. Our approach relies on the idea that many structured and useful information arrives at the time of implementation of subject and if this information is mentioned in our sharing content then this help in effective text mining and obtain the data of interest and desired results.
General Terms: Unstructured data, structured data, structured information retrieval, extracted data search model.

Feature Extraction and Dimensionality Reduction using IPS for Isolated Tamil Words Speech Recognizer
Abstract: Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), is the process of converting a speech waveform into the text quite similar to the information being communicated by the speaker. This paper aims to construct a speech recognition system for Tamil language. Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) is a commonly used feature extraction technique for speech recognition which is computed by applying DCT to the mel-scale filter bank output. Instead of DCT, Integrated Phoneme Subspace (IPS) method is used to improve speech recognition. The experimental results show that the recognition accuracy of ASR using IPS in various forms yields higher or similar output comparative to MFCC and the word accuracy of one such form of IPS (IPS-2) is 84.00%.

Image and Audio Based Secure Encryption and Decryption
Abstract: Steganography (a rough Greek translation of the term Steganography is secret writing) has been used in various forms for 2500 years. Briefly stated, steganography is the term applied to any number of processes that will hide a message within an object, where the hidden message will not be apparent to an observer. In steganography, the message used to hide secret message is called host message or cover message. Once the contents of the host message or cover message are modified, the resultant message is known as stego message. In other words, stego message is combination of host message and secret message. Audio steganography requires a text or audio secret message to be embedded within a cover audio message.

Abstract: An XML database is a data persistence software system that allows data to be stored in XML format. This data can then be queried, exported and serialized into the desired format. XML databases are usually associated with document-oriented databases. One reason for the use of XML in databases: the increasingly common use of XML for data transport, which has meant that "data is extracted from databases and put into XML documents and vice- versa". It may prove more efficient and easier to store the data in XML format. The XML database is a rapidly growing technology which is poised to replace many existing technologies used for data storage. It uses xml and many of its derived technologies, like DTD, XSL, XSLT, Xpath, Xquery, etc., as its framework. XML document is self-describing and is compatible on all kind of platforms because it is in text format. This makes it a very powerful technology. Due to its simplicity and compatibility on all kinds of platforms , XML database is rapidly becoming the de facto standard of passing data over the internet. The general purpose based on the XML documents is to access the data by using XPath and other techniques. But for general user it’s not possible to remember all the XML queries. So our aim is to Design a SQL Interface for XML databases. This Interface will accept sql queries, convert them into XPATH expressions and will retrieve data from XML Documents.

Abstract: This paper proposes a cost effective method of locating a human's position using two technologies via General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and Global Positioning System (GPS). The whole system allows the user's current position to be located using a mobile phone which is equipped with an internal GPS receiver and a GPRS transmitter. A mobile phone application has been developed and deployed on an Android Phone whose responsibility is to track the GPS location and send it to a remote location by creating a GPRS packet. As unique identifier we have used mobile's Irrational Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number which will be sent along with the coordinates. The person's position is further saved in a Mobile Object Database (MOD) which is created in MySQL. From MOD the data will be first transferred into an XML file which will be fed as an input to a web application which is developed with JavaScript based Google Map API integrated into it which will be responsible for the showing the current location of the mobile phone. Most of the applications developed so far use a handheld GPS receiver device for tracking the location, but we have reduced the cost of device by using the mobile phone which has an inbuilt GPS receiver. And further the cost is reduced by using GPRS rather than using Short Message Service (SMS) for communicating the information to the server.

Abstract: Today internet has made the life of human dependent on it. Almost everything and anything can be searched on net. The rapid growth of World Wide Web has been tremendous in recent years. With the large amount of information on the Internet, web pages have been the potential source of information retrieval and data mining technology such as commercial search engines, web mining applications. Internet web pages contain several items that cannot be classified as the informative content, e.g., search and filtering panel, navigation links, advertisements, and so on called as noisy parts. Most clients and end-users search for the informative content, and largely do not seek the non- informative content. A tool that assists an end-user or application to search and process information from Web pages automatically, must separate the “primary or informative content sections” from the other content sections. These sections are known as “Web page blocks” or just “blocks.” First, a tool must segment the Web pages into Web page blocks and, second, the tool must separate the primary content blocks from the non informative content block .Main focus is on review and evaluation of algorithm , capable of extracting main content from web page. Proposed algorithms outperform several existing algorithms with respect to runtime and/or accuracy. Furthermore, a Web cache system that applies proposed algorithms to remove non informative content blocks and to identify similar blocks across Web pages can achieve significant storage savings will be shown.

JISHA MARY JOSE, JOMINA JOHN Student, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Kochi, India Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Kochi, India
Abstract: A wireless sensor network (WSN) is a network made up of a large number of self-organizing nodes distributed in adhoc fashion. They are popularly used for monitoring and control of environment parameters. They are set up in remote locations to form a wireless communication system and it collects data samples for critical domains such as military, industry, environment etc. It is necessary to spread data and code through wireless links after the nodes are deployed in order to adjust parameters of sensors, update the sensor programs or distribute management commands to sensors. This is known as data dissemination or reprogramming in WSNs. Dissemination protocols are vital because almost all WSNs are deployed in hostile environments and thus manual reprogramming of such nodes is not possible. Many data dissemination protocols have been introduced with time and each one of them help in dissemination of program code, configuration parameters, queries, commands, bulk data etc.

Abstract: Vehicular ad hoc systems are wireless links used to support vehicular safety, traffic monitoring, and efficiently uses all the location information other commercial applications. Within vehicular ad hoc network, the mobility of vehicles will cause the communication links to frequently be broken. Such link failures require a direct response from the routing protocols, leading to a potentially excessive increase in the routing overhead and degradation in network scalability. So we propose a hybrid location-based routing protocol that is particularly designed to overcome this issue. This new protocol combines features of both reactive routing with location-based geographic routing in a manner that available. The protocol is designed to switch to reactive routing as the location information degrades. By performing analysis and simulation we can prove that our protocol has better scalability and has an optimal overhead, even in the presence of high location errors, this makes our protocol an enhanced yet pragmatic location-enabled solution which could be deployed in all possible environments of Vehicular ad hoc network.

Abstract: This paper presents a comprehensive review of the studies conducted in the application of data mining techniques focus on credit scoring and market segmentation. The studies are categorized and classified into enterprise, individual and small and midsized (SME) companies credit scoring. Data mining techniques are also categorized to single classifier, Hybrid methods and Ensembles. Variable selection methods are also investigated separately because there is a major issue in a credit scoring problem. The findings of this literature review reveals that data mining techniques are mostly applied to an individual credit score and there is inadequate research on enterprise and SME credit scoring. Data mining uses sophisticated software to collect, analyze, and report on large accumulations of data in order to extract information that provides insight into business and consumer processes. Customized data mining software is designed to convert raw data into useful information. Among the beneficial strategies for data mining is customer segmentation. Customer segmentation can be defined as the process of dividing a customer base into distinct and internally consistent groups in effort to develop and differentiate marketing strategies according to customer characteristics.

Abstract: Many wireless sensor network (WSN) applications heavily rely on information being transmitted in a timely manner. In such sensor networks, packet scheduling plays a vital role in reducing end-to-end data transmission delays. It also helps in reducing sensors energy consumptions, thus increasing the lifetime of the wireless sensor network. The simplest packet scheduling scheme is FCFS (First Come First Serve). Many more packet scheduling schemes have been proposed for wireless sensor networks such as EDF(Earliest Deadline First) and those based on priority with single and multiple queues. This paper discusses different packet scheduling techniques that have been proposed for wireless sensor networks and the various concepts related to them.

Abstract: People recently are interested in using digital images. Hence developing an efficient technique for finding the images has become a great need. Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) is a significant and increasingly popular approach that helps in the retrieval of image data from a huge collection. Image representation based on certain features helps in retrieval process. Three important visual features of an image include Color, Texture and Histogram. Here we are using an efficient image retrieval technique which uses dynamic dominant color, texture and histogram features of an image. Using that technique, as a first step an image can be uniformly divided into coarse partitions. The centroid of each partition will be selected as its dominant color after the above coarse partition. A texture representation for image retrieval based on GLCM (Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix) can be used. Although a precise definition of texture is untraceable, the notion of texture generally refers to the presence of a spatial pattern that has some properties of homogeneity. In particular, the homogeneity cannot result from the presence of only a single color in the regions, but requires interaction of various colors. Color histogram is the most commonly used color presentation. Color histogram yields better retrieval accuracy. Histogram of an image represents relative frequency of occurrence of various gray levels. It is a spatial domain technique. Impressions of histogram can be conveyed by color or intensity patterns, or texture, from which a geometrical representation can be derived. After that we are applying target search methods algorithm and making a comparison based approach between two algorithms Neighboring Divide-and-Conquer Method and Global Divide-and-Conquer Method to see which method helps in fast retrieval of images.

Abstract: A low complexity, low memory required, high quality image scaling processor using sharpening spatial filter, clamp filter followed by bilinear interpolation is proposed. The sharpening spatial filter and clamp filter are realized by T-model and inverse T-model convolution kernel, and serves as prefilters. Furthermore to reduce memory requirement the T-model and inversed T-model kernels are combined together to form combined filter with one-line buffer memory. The proposed image scaling algorithm uses hardware sharing technique in order to reduce the computational complexity and to minimize the computing resources needed. Furthermore, Spurious-Power Suppression Technique Unit is used to overcome redundant calculation performed in Reconfigurable Calculation Unit (RCU), which reduce the computational resources and hardware cost required, which further results in reduction of gate count. Spurious-power suppression technique (SPST) adder results in reduction in power consumption and filter out the unused switching power.

Abstract: In this paper, We propose a design of a variable point FFT processor using FPGA in which OFDMA Technology is applied. The FFT processor use Verilog HDL language to describe the circuit, use Quartus II 7.2 software to build the model, and use ModelSim SE 6.2b software to verify the timing function. Therefore, this design can be applied to real-t ime signal processing system, co mpletes the main co mputing modules in the OFDMA system. The performance of the system is analy zed using MATLAB software and the result shows that The SINR of wireless OFDMA in the presence of CFO (carrier frequency offset) and frequency selective fading becomes a ratio of correlated random variables, and recent research results have not provided exact expressions for its average. In this paper, we have presented a new non-direct mathemat ical analysis which led to the derivation of a simple new exp ression for the average SINR of OFDMA in the presence of CFO over mult ipath Rayleigh fading.

R.SREEMALLIKA, R.SEYEZHAI PG Scholar, Department of EEE, SSN College of Engineering, Chennai, India Associate Professor, Department of EEE, SSN College of Engineering, Chennai, India
Abstract: In recent years, LED light sources are widely used compared to the conventional light bulbs due to their compactness, lower heat dissipation, high levels of luminous efficiency, wide chromatic variety, high reliability, extreme robustness and long life term. But the main concern is to have high power quality LED power supplies in order to comply with the international standards. To ensure this and to maintain a high power factor at the line side, switch- mode DC-DC converters i.e High-frequency active PFC circuit generally known as „Power Factor Correction‟ circuits, are designed. In this paper, a comparative analysis of the AC-DC Converter topologies with “Active” Power Factor Correction for LED applications is presented. Abstract: Online gaming is one of the major sectors in the business environment. Through the internet and the networks these types of games became very popular in the society. Considering this gaming in cloud environment with the cloud and peer nodes, greedy strategies is used to set up a better utilization among these nodes. But by using the greedy approaches the execution time of the corresponding system will increase. In this paper we propose a better optimization technique called particle swarm optimization (PSO). The major role is to reduce the execution time of the system. So this work proposes a hybrid distributed gaming environment for an effective utilization of the cloud and peer nodes and also to reduce the execution time of this execution time.

Abstract: The performance of CPU is essentially depends on the scheduling algorithms. These algorithms provide a schedule for execution of processes waiting in ready queue. There are various scheduling algorithms; Round Robin is one of them. The performance of Round Robin algorithm is majorly depends on the quantum, generally which is static for all processes. There is not any standard way to decide the quantum. The larger quantum maximizes the waiting time and the smaller one increases the overhead of context switching among the processes. In order to improve the performance, the quantum can be dynamically selected for all iterations, instead of keeping it static. We implement Genetic Approach based Round Robin Algorithm with dynamic quantum. Genetic algorithm is evolutionary technique which finds optimal solutions for NP hard problems. We present comparison of three algorithms: Round Robin with static quantum, Round Robin with dynamic quantum and Genetic algorithm based Round Robin with dynamic quantum.

Abstract: This is a presentation of a stepped U-Shaped microstrip patch antenna with microstrip-fed monopole for ultra wide band (UWB) application. The monopole is composed of an U-Shaped patch cut on a rectangular patch. The radiator patch is attached to a 50- microstrip feed line by a smoothly tapered line to enhance the wideband matching. A E-shaped slot is etched on a rectangular plane placed on the one side of the substrate. The antenna has compact physical structure and is designed on standard FR4 substrate with an operating frequency of 9.5Ghz. Simulation and optimization with Ansoft HFSS and CST Microwave Studio software indicate 145% fractional impedance bandwidth varying from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz for VSWR with -60dB and filtering 5-6GHz for eliminating the interference effect due to WiFi and Wimax. The antenna is successfully fabricated and characterized by measuring VSWR, radiation pattern, and gain. Comparison between simulated and practical results exhibits the near agreement in the operating band. Besides, it yields an average gain of several decibels with low tolerance and reasonable stable radiation characteristics. The effects of significant parameters on antenna performance and some other details are analyzed and discussed as well.

KALYAN SINGH MEENA M.Tech., Department of Information Technology, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, India
Abstract: In recent years due to attractive features of cloud computing, users are storing large amount of data on cloud storage, these data may be users personal or secret. Users remotely store their personal or secret information on cloud storage and enjoy best features of cloud applications without burden on local hardware and software management. After storing data on cloud storage users can access their data by very thin clients. But there is a drawback o f outsourcing data on cloud storage is data security risks because users has no control over outsourced data even users are unknown about location of their data. So, in this situation, achieving data confidentialit y on outsourced data is an open challenge for researchers. Today some systems are available by using that we can store and retrieve encrypted data but if we have large amount of data to store on cloud than it is difficult to retrieve them efficiently. Anot her problem is to store and manage encryption keys efficiently. To solve the data confidentiality and key management problems together we are using ranking function on inverted indexes and advanced shamir’s secret sharing algorith m.

S.SUGANYA, P.RAJIPRIYADHARSHINI, A.MASANAM M.E., CSE, Parisutham Institute of Technology and Science, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India
Abstract: In Cloud computing multiple cloud users can request number of cloud services simultaneously. Provision must be provided such that all resources are made available to user’s request in efficient manner to satisfy their needs. This resource provisioning can be done by using virtual machines that handles user’s request and provide appropriate services to the requested users. Service interruption occurs when the virtual machine is overloaded. To overcome this problem, black/gray bo x algorithm is proposed which will automatically migrate to the next low loaded virtual machine without service interruption. By using this, the total physical machine’s load is balanced. Based on the application demands, green computing is used to optimize the number of servers which are in use to reduce the over utilization of power. By making these two approaches to be integrated within CloudSim which enables Cloud computing environment and supports creation of one or more virtual machines on a simulated server facility in a data center, jobs, and their mapping to suitable VMs to achieve load balancing and less energy consumption.

Abstract: It has been widely recognized that many future database applications including commun ications, manufacturing and engineering processes will require so me kind of fact based reasoning. Fact based systems often spend a large fraction of their execution time matching ru le patterns with data. A business rules engine enables an organization to increase its agility and speed to adapt to business process execution. This paper presents a systematic literature review of different methods for developing business rules engine for the fact based systems. First, we provide a pattern matching algorithm Rete Net work which is used in OPS5, which efficiently identify the applicable rules. The second method is YES/M VS real time expert systems which extends the Rete algorithm a nd also extends the use of expert systems techniques to continuous, real time, interactive control applications. The third method is YES/ OPS system which advances the Rete algorith m. The fourth method is Set-Oriented Constructs which forwards the Rete Rule Bases to Database Systems. The fifth method is LEAPS which produces the fastest executables of OPS5 ru le sets. The sixth method is BPRE Ru le Matching Algorith m wh ich is constraint -based rule matching algorith m. On the basis of review of different methods presented here will be very useful to develop a business rules engine for fact based systems. Abstract: In this project pixel-based approach for urban land covers classification from high resolution satellite image using K means clustering and ISO data clustering. Pixel based image analysis of image segmentation that is, clustering of pixels into homogenous objects, and subsequent classification or labeling of the pixels, and modeling based on the characteristics of pixels is done using MATLAB GUI model. When applied to a satellite image, the clustering algorithm approach involves two steps. First, each group or cluster is homogeneous; i.e. examples that belong to the same group are similar to each other. Second, each group or cluster should be different from other cluster, i.e. examples that belong to one cluster should be different from the examples of other clusters. The algorithm was implemented in MATLAB GUI model and was tested on remotely sensed images of different sensors, resolutions and complexity levels.

Abstract: Nowadays interactive systems cannot be developed isolated from workflows and the application domains they are embedded in. Unfortunately, a conceptual gap between design representations for interactive systems and workflow specifications exists. This gap leads to the situation that it can be checked in a very late stage of development whether an interactive system actually fits into a particular workflow or not. If not, redesign is required and the development costs may be increased dramatically. In order to avoid this worst case, in this paper we introduce a framework and environment that allows the refinement of workflows to system functions at an implementation- independent layer. At the heart of this new approach lies a single page interaction model that facilitates rich interactivity. This paper describes how such a visual editor can prove to be useful for quicker generation, and understanding of complex workflows. This paper also gives the various Javascript libraries that would prove useful in developing a better User Interface. A simple design for visual editor is presented in order to demonstrate our approach. Our prototype implementation is discussed at the end of the paper.

Abstract: Failure diagnosis is finding the correct cause of failure, and gives the enough information to correct it. And it is one of the major challenges that home users and software administrators face today in the distributed software. The problem is more because there are so many different components which collaborate to realize a particular service and these components belong to different functional domains as well as physical locations. With increasing number of such services, it is important to design systems which enable easy diagnosis of problems encountered and allow determining the root cause of the failures. Diagnostic bundle consolidation mechanism provides a single point of management for creation and collection of the diagnostic bundle within the Snap Creator Framework. The log files, command outputs, etc. are scattered around the Snap Creator agent. It can consolidate diagnostic files based on various scope parameters as needed to meet effective troubleshooting requirements. This diagnostic bundle consolidation work is based on java REST architectural style, which provides light weighted communication between server and agent.
A Naïve Approach to High Utility Rare Itemset Mining Algorithm using Temporal Concept – THURI
JYOTHI PILLAI, O.P.VYAS Associate Professor, Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg, Chhattisgarh, India Professor, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India
Abstract: Business strategies use information about any organizations past performance that can be used to predict its future performance. The right business strategy can be formulated by clearly understanding the dynamically changing business environment. Temporal data mining can be used for obtaining temporal measures of various operations of company. Temporal mining can be instrumental for tracking the temporal changes in the business activities which allows the company for gaining insights to process improvement and optimization. An appealing question in temporal mining that is concerned with business strategy is to study the contribution of past decisions on the success of the organization. Temporal Data Mining is an important step in the Knowledge Discovery process that discovers temporal patterns or temporal rules from Temporal Databases. Temporal Data Mining Algorithms are the algorithms which consider temporal patterns from temporal data or fit models to temporal databases. Traditional Frequent itemset mining discovers frequent itemsets from transactional databases using only items occurrence frequency and not considering items utility. But in many real world situations, utility of itemsets based upon user’s perspective such as cost, profit or revenue is of significant importance. One of the latest data mining research areas is Utility Mining which emphasis on all types of utility factors and incorporates utility concepts in data mining tasks. The utility-based descriptive data mining which aims at discovering itemsets having high total utility is termed as High utility itemset mining. High Utility itemsets may contain frequent as well as rare itemsets.Temporal data mining is a very fast expanding field with many new research results reported and many new temporal data mining analysis methods or prototypes developed recently. The temporal significant rare utility itemsets are those itemsets which appear infrequently in the current time window of large databases but are highly associated with specific data. In this paper, a novel method is proposed, namely THURI (High Utility Rare Itemset Mining Algorithm using Temporal Concept), for efficiently and effectively mine high utility rare itemsets from databases with temporal consideration of utility values. The novel contribution of THURI is that it can effectively extract high utility rare itemsets from temporal transaction databases.

Abstract: The Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) structure is mainly used to achieve the desired output in case of closed loop control systems in most of the industry applications. In PID controller it is difficult to obtain the proper values of the controlling parameters Kp, Ki and Kd. The paper describes the design of dynamic control system model with PID controller and the values of the controlling parameters Kp, Ki and Kd are computed by using stochastic global search method i.e. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The approach is based on the search for global optimum value for the PID control parameters with the help of cost functions using Integral Control performance criterion like “Integral Absolute Error” (IAE). The optimum solution generally converges to a solution having minimum error which affects the control parameters thereby influencing rise time, maximum overshoot, settling time, gain margin and phase margin of the system. The proposed methods are demonstrated by tuning all the parameters of PID controllers for single input – single output (SISO) system.

Abstract: The mobile ad-hoc network consists of low power mobile devices communicating through radio signals. To minimize the power consumption, we form the clusters with an elected cluster head (Service Provider) based on any cluster head selection strategy. As the topology of this network is time variant due to node mobility, nodes are continuously leaving and entering the clusters, automatically registering with the cluster head to become the member of the cluster. But, there may be a scenario where a new node wants to access a service provided by the cluster head, at this time the newly entered node is unaware of the trustworthiness of the cluster head. To establish a trusted link between newly entered node and CH we have adopted an indirect trust computation technique based on recommendations form an important component in trust-based access control models for pervasive environment. It can provide the new node the confidence to interact with unknown service provider or CH to establish a trusted link for reliable accessibility of the service. In this paper, we will present some existing indirect trust based techniques and subsequently discuss our proposal along with its merits, demerits and future scope.

Abstract: Data mining is an interdisciplinary subfield of computer science. The web services business activity developed by the OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) groups. The framework developed had an initiator, a coordinator, and more than one participant. But with increased number of participants and unlimited number of clients and servers the problem of fault recognition became critical. The problem of faulty nodes at either client or server node was detected by lightweight Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) system. The BFT is used for the selection of the appropriate server and client nodes using a Travelling salesman problem. The problem of both client and server node selection was further improved by the use of a heuristic technique known as Particle Swarm Optimization which helps in finding the global best and local best server and client nodes. PSO gives a better and faster method of fault tolerance and enhances the performances than BFT.

Abstract: To develop communication simulator over wired network by modifying UDP protocol. The scope of work is to improvise the reliability, latency of system during data (like text, audio, video) transfer to make it work for real time applications. A communication system for robotics application should allow fast exchange of real-time data for low level robot control and large amount of data for high level algorithms like intelligent vision or map building. Ethernet seems to be the perfect candidate for the low level communication interface because of its large diffusion; high bandwidth and low cost .Real time system are being use increasingly in control applications such as in automobiles, aircraft and process control. Real-time communication protocols are designed in order to satisfy basic requirements of these systems such as reliability, safety and in time message delivery. Time update of real-time data is crucial requirement of such critical systems which has to be facilitated by these protocols. RDM (Round Data Mailer) and RDM+ are two new protocols that have been designed to fulfill the requirements of distributed real-time systems. The project is useful to achieve real time application in many things like audio, video communication.
