ANJU RANI, RAHUL KUMAR YADAV Computer Science and Engineering Deptt, PDM College of Engineering, Bahadurgarh, Haryana
Abstract: A P2P network is one of the most usable local area network that provides the interconnectivity between the nodes. But as the communication increases over the network, the load on some centralized nodes or the server is increased. In such case, there is the requirement of setup some sub system over the network to distribute the network load. Such sub systems are called replication servers. These systems can have full or the partial copy of the actual centralized server. The main problem in such systems is to find optimal number of replication servers required in the system. The presented research is about to identify the required number of such sub systems over the network. In this work, a statistical analysis is been presented based on the network capabilities, network distribution and the node requirements.

Abstract: Dropped calls can be avoided in cellular networks by an Automatically Optimization algorithm. An optimization technique have been generated using a DNCL (Dynamic Neighbor cell listing), which uses an automatically optimization algorithm to avoid call drop in cellular networks. In cellular networks the Dynamic Neighbor cell list (DNCL) has an important impact on the number of dropped calls and is traditionally optimized manually with the help of planning tools. We have used a method which automatically optimizes DNCL, which consists of a self configuration phase for initialization, followed by a self-optimization phase which further refines the DNCL based on measurements provided by mobile stations during the network operation. The proposed method performance is evaluated for different user speeds and different DNCL sizes. Besides, the convergence speed of the proposed self-optimization method is evaluated. It is shown that automatically optimization method reached a stable maximum performance about 99% of success rate when about 6000 measurements are reported by mobile stations.

Abstract: In this paper, a new approach is presented to compare methods. Many works compare classification methods based directly on generated partitions. We propose, instead, a classification methods comparison, based on the structure of logic trees. As result, we obtain grouping of methods and can even measure the distance between them. In this purpose, we apply this new approach in two cases. The first case is related to improved performance of assembly system at the dynamic management flexibility. The second case deals with the similarity coefficients as key decision able to classify methods. The results are very promising.

OKOROGU VICTOR N, ONOH G.N, NWALOZIE G.C, ONYISHI D.U Department of Electronic & Computer Engineering, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Nigeria Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Enugu State University of Science & Technology, Enugu, Nigeria Department of Electrical & Electronic Eng., Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun Delta State, Nigeria
Abstract: Analysis on intermodulation interference and the effect of noise on Receiver sensitivity of the CDMA System due to interference from GSM System in co-site cells showed that the Signal -to -Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR) of Networks when operating separately in different sites is better than in co-site arrangement. This work adopted the Antenna Isolation technique as a viable option to minimize the interference level, in order to ensure harmony and co-existence of shared Networks based on a physical optimization of antenna systems that could be understood as a physical symmetry rotation in space, to vary the antenna tilt and azimuth. The approach independently reduces the interference effects on the distance between the base station antennas. This research analyzes the interference between co-site CDMA2000-800MHz (CDMA2000 1x/UMTS800) and GSM900MHz Base Station Systems due to spurious emission, intermodulation effects and blocking. Received Signal Strength (RSS) measurements were gathered in Enugu from Mobile Telecommunications of Nigeria (MTN) Network (GSM900) and Visafone Network (CDMA2000 1x) in sites where each Network operates alone and where both Networks shared sites (co-site or co-existence), and a propagation Path Loss model, suitable for scenario with Base Station antenna height above the average rooftop was subsequently developed. SINR was generated to evaluate the Link performance of co- site operation in comparison to Single Network operation in a site. Antenna Isolation measurements were practically demonstrated in Huawei Laboratory so as not to disrupt traffic on Operators Networks, using token antennas and calibrated cables.

Abstract: Gate capacitance in PMOS is a key parameter for process development, material selection, and device modelling. This paper proposes and develops a extraction technique to overcome these shortcomings. Ids-Vgs and Ccx-Vgs are simultaneously measured so that the effect of Vd on mobility is inherently taken into account, and the measured mobility becomes Vds independent. This allows the measurement time reducing to the order of microseconds and, in turn, minimizing the effect of charge trapping. Unlike the standard high-frequency Cox-Vgs, Cox is independent of gate leakage. This advantages, together with its easy implementation, should make this technique a simple tools for process development, material selection, and device modelling in future generations of CMOS technology.

Abstract: Tsunamis cause damage by two mechanisms: the smashing force of a wall of water travelling at high speed, and the destructive power of a large volume of water draining off the land and carrying all with it, even if the wave did not look large. Earthquakes with an epicenter in the sea are not always tsunami genic. Direct detection in sea-level measurements is therefore essential to confirm the actual generation and propagation of a tsunami. Signals obtained from the bottom pressure recorders (BPRs) are commonly used for the automatic, real time detection of a tsunami within recorded signals. Only direct detection makes it possible to avoid false alarms and guarantees speed and accuracy in both the warning and the hazard assessment process. The tsunami detection algorithm works by first estimating the amplitudes of the pressure fluctuations within the tsunami frequency band and then testing these amplitudes against a threshold value. This project aims at developing a Tsunami warning algorithm using artificial neural network (ANN). . Proposed algorithm is compared to the one developed under the Deep-ocean Assessment and Reporting of Tsunamis (DART) program run by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The algorithm is designed to detect the occurrence of tsunami using the data obtained from the data buoy. The ANN used for this process is feed forward multilayer network with back propagation training. Simulation and experimental results show that an improvement in detection performance can be obtained by using the ANN algorithm.

Abstract: Erasable item set mining was introduced to approach data mining in production planning. The erasable item set mining isthe process of finding erasable item sets that satisfy the constraint i.e. user defined value. This paper proposes an efficient algorithm for finding Top-Rank-K erasable item sets. Since the MIKE Algorithm was proposed to generate the top-rank-k erasable item sets. In last few years there have been several methods to improve its performance. But they do not consider the time and space constraint. If rank is high value then MIKE takes a lot of time and space to generate candidate set. In this paper, we proposed an Improved MIKE (I-MIKE) which reduces time and space by using efficient approach to generate candidate set.

A Variation of LMS Algorithm for Noise Cancellation
C.MOHAN RAO, DR. B.STEPHEN CHARLES, DR. M.N.GIRI PRASAD Asso. Prof., Department of ECE, NBKRIST, Vidyanagar, India Principal, SSCET, Kurnool, India 3Prof. & Head, Department of ECE, JNTUACE, Anantapuram, India
Abstract: This paper presents a new adaptive filter whose coefficients are dynamically changing with an evolutionary computation algorithm and hence reducing the noise. This algorithm gives a relationship between the update rate and the minimum error which automatically adjusts the update rate. When the environment is varying, the rate is increased while it would be decreased when the environment is stable and the computation complexity of adaptive filter can be significantly reduced. In the simulation, additive white Gaussian noise is added to the randomly generated information signal and efficiently reduced this noise with minimum or no error by using evolutionary computation with Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithms.

Abstract: This paper presents the implementation of two stage FIR (Finite Impulse Response) decimation filter using system generator and it is compared with single stage implementation of FIR filter for WiMAX Application. FIR filter with decimation factor M is subdivided into two decimation factors M1 and M2. The two different FIR filters are designed with different coefficient values and different sampling rate and cascaded instead of single stage FIR filter. The prototype is designed with MATLAB Simulink model and it is converted to VHDL code using Xilinx system generator. Prototype is implemented in Virtex V- FPGA kit and simulation results and device utilization reports are generated and tabulated. The result shows that the two stage FIR filter utilizes less LUT‟s and consumes less power than the single stage FIR filter. This low power implementation of two stage FIR filter may be used as a decimation filter in WiMAX application.

Abstract: In recent years, co-friendly transportation is becoming more and more important. Vehicular ad hoc networks are emerging as a new class of wireless network spontaneously formed between moving vehicles equipped with wireless interfaces, employing short-range to medium-range communication. One of the most distinguishing features of vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETS) is the increased mobility of the nodes. Many routing protocols for MANETS have been proposed to date. Among them, DSDV is a representative table-driven protocol, while AODV and DSR are two representative on-demand protocols. This paper proposes ns-2 simulation result by comparing these three protocols at different number of nodes and at different mobility. This comparison result helps in checking the adaptability of MANET routing protocol for Vehicular Ad hoc networks. The scenarios used in the simulation experiments take into account a variety of environmental factors that influence protocol performance. The performance of the protocols is compared in terms of their packet delivery ratio, end to end delay and routing overhead.
Performance Analysis of Goldwasser-Micali Cryptosystem
SHRUTHI R, SUMANA P, ANJAN K KOUNDINYA Department of Computer Science and Engineering, R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore
Abstract: Probabilistic encryption is the use of randomness in an encryption algorithm, so that when encrypting the same message several times it will, in general, yield different ciphertexts. To be semantically secure, that is, to hide even partial information about the plaintext, an encryption algorithm must be probabilistic. The Goldwasser-Micali cryptosystem is an asymmetric key encryption algorithm developed by ShafiGoldwasser and Silvio Micali in 1982. Goldwasser-Micali has the distinction of being the first probabilistic public-key encryption scheme which is provably secure under standard cryptographic assumptions. However, it is not an efficient cryptosystem, as ciphertexts may be several hundred times larger than the initial plaintext. The aim of this paper is to outline the key concepts involved in Goldwasser-Micali encryption algorithm and compare it with RSA . The metrics used for comparison are encryption time, decryption time and size of cipher text with varying plain text sizes which are the key considerations for choosing an encryption algorithm. The reading will be recorded for drawing inferences.

Abstract: In the hospitals, any major operation is performed; the patient must be in anesthetizing condition. If the operation lasts for a long time, say for suppose for 4 or 5 hours, anesthesia cannot be give in a single stroke to the patient. Over dosage may cause a critical condition for the patient's towards death. If lower amount of anesthesia is to the patient, they may wakeup at the middle of the operation. Overcome this problem, the anesthetist administers few millilitres of anesthesia per hour to the patient in a particular time period. If the anesthetist fails to administer the anesthesia to the patient at the particular time interval. Overcome this problems the design of an automatic operation of an anesthesia machine based on a microprocessor is effective. In this system a keypad is provided along with the Microprocessor and syringe infusion pump. The anesthetist can set the level of anesthesia in terms of millilitres per hour to administer anesthesia to the patient with the help of keypad. when signal is received. After receiving the signal from the keypad, the Microprocessor controls the signal to the desire level and fed into the stepper motor to drive the infusion pump in proper manner. The anesthesia is administered to the patient according to the stepper motor rotation .if any uncertain condition the alarm will on.

Abstract: Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a self-organizing and self-configuring network without the need of any centralized organization or any switching centre. In MANETs, the nodes are mobiles and battery operated. It is seen that MANETs will be an integral part of the next generation networks because of its flexibility, infrastructure less nature, ease of maintenance, auto configuration, self-administrations capabilities and the cost effectiveness. In MANET each node must be able to communicate with each other in order to connect and forward the data packets to the destination. The routing in MANET is done by using the routing protocols. The MANET routing protocols are proactive, reactive, and hybrid. In this project we have shown the comparison of the proactive and reactive protocols like DSDV, AODV, DSR based on the important performance metrics like node throughput, packet delivery ratio and the average end-to-end delay by using network simulator-2.

Abstract: OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is one kind of the techniques of MCM (Multi-Carrier Modulation), which belongs to the field of wireless communication. The basic idea of MCM is to modulate signals onto many carriers and then combine these signals to transmit out. The modulation system has an S/P converter, which converts the high rate serial data into lower rate paralleled data. Due to the lower rate, data has longer time duration which is usually far larger than the maximum delay of the signal transmitting channel, thus makes it possible to well-combat multi-path effect and easy to equalization at the receiver. In the downlink module of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system, there is a need of an alterable point FFT processor. Therefore, it is meaningful to design a FFT processor in which input data points could be alterable. This paper presents the design of a variable input FFT processor which meets the requirements of OFDMA system. To design OFDMA system, we select the 2D Fourier transform algorithm as the kernel algorithm, using VHDL language to present in detail a design of two-stage pipeline structure, QuartusII and ModelSim SE for the simulation, and verify on the EP3C25Q240CSN chip FPGA.Simulation results show that the way of implementation which meets the IEEES02.16e standard, at the same time the data precision is 16 bits, limit the clock frequency of 100MHz, the overall timing design stability, and it could reach the scope of real- time processing

Abstract: Floating point arithmetic is widely used in many areas, especially scientific computation and signal processing. The main applications of floating points today are in the field of medical imaging, biometrics, motion capture and audio applications. Multipliers play an important role in today‟s digital signal processing and various other applications. A system‟s performance is generally determined by the performance of the multiplier, because the multiplier is generally the slowest element in the system. The way floating point operations are executed depends on the data format of the operands. IEEE standards specify a set of floating point formats single precision and double precision. This paper presents an efficient FPGA implementation of double precision floating point multiplier using VHDL.

Open Information Communication Technology Infrastructure Sharing Framework. Site Sharing And Its Challenges To Mobile Service Providers Of Kenya
PETER NAMISIKO, DR. MAURICE SAKWA Assistant Lecturer, Department of Information Technology, Mount Kenya University, Kitale, Kenya Senior Lecturer, School of Human Resource Development, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Juja, Kenya
Abstract: Open Information Communication Technology Infrastructure Sharing can be defined as the joint use of network facilities by two or more operators subject to agreement specifying relevant technical and commercial conditions. The main reason for ICT infrastructure sharing in mobile service industries in the countries that have implemented has been to cut down expenditure and reduce the need to build new masts on which to locate their equipment. In Kenya, each licensee is expected to build or lease the infrastructure it requires, although the license they own allows them to share their infrastructure on commercial arrangements. As a result of this, penetration of masts in rural areas is increasing at an exponential rate. The construction of towers is mushrooming and in near future towers population across the country will change urban and rural landscape. Despite the Mobile Service Providers interest in Open ICT infrastructure sharing, little attention is being paid to conclusion of deals that leads to Infrastructure sharing. The purpose of the study was to investigate the Challenges to Open ICT Infrastructure sharing by Mobile Service Providers in Kenya. This study was conducted through survey design. Data was collected from employees from Safaricom, Airtel, Yu and Orange was used to study the population. A target population of 2600 employees from the four Mobile Service Providers in Kenya was considered. Both Stratified and purposive sampling techniques was used to identify the respondents. A sample size of 93 respondents was used in this study. Both structured questionnaires and scheduled interviews were used in data collection. Both descriptive and inferential statistics was used to analyse data collected from respondents in this study. The study found out Asset Valuation and Management, Stakeholders cost pressure and cultural alignment as the main challenges to site sharing by Mobile Service Providers in Kenya. The results obtained from this study will be beneficial to stakeholders in Mobile Service industry formulate policies that promote ICT Infrastructure sharing with a view to promoting universal access and saving on expenditures.

Abstract: Wireless local area networks (WLANs) have become increasingly popular in the computer communications industry in recent years. Performance improvement of IEEE802.11 is a challenging & very popular problem between the researchers. CW (Contention Window) is an important factor, which plays an important role to improve or reduce the performance of IEEE 802.11. We modify the calculating method of CW (Contention Window) size after a Successful & unsuccessful transmission and study the effect of CW size on performance. The proposed modification significantly reduces the probability of collision and provides better quality of service. The complexity of implementing such a modification is low and the related parameter is easily determined. Simulation results show that the proposed modification outperforms DCF in terms of throughput, the probability of collision and average delay.

Abstract: Graphs are extensively used to represent difficult structures in several scientific and industrial applications. Frequent graphs occurring often in group of graphs are specially used in social networks, computer networks, citation network and many more. Due to this graph mining has become a vital content of research. The increasing size of computer graphs is a challenge to mining algorithms. This mining may contain various operations performed on graphs. Graph visualization and summarization are two important operations among them. This paper concentrates on issues of organizing, visualizing and summarizing large graphs. .
Abstract: System-on-chip (SoC) designs are moving from logic dominant chips to memory dominant chips to be able to meet future application requirements. Embedded memory density and area on-chip is increasing day by day. In order to achieve good memory yield, an at-speed test technique such as built-in self test (BIST) must be implemented to test these embedded memories. Memory Built-in Self Test (MBIST) is the popular approach to test embedded memories. MBIST usually use the deterministic pattern such as MARCH test algorithm to test memories. In MARCH test algorithm, the patterns are generated according to specified predetermined values. The existing March algorithms consist of as many as four or seven operations per March element. Therefore, it is essential to define new test algorithms which fulfill the need of detecting new faults. A new March BLC tests having number of operations per element according to the today‟s growing needs of embedded memory testing with enhanced fault using Verilog HDL as a primary language and used Modelsim SE 6.5 f as simulation tool.

PRAVIN K.PATIL Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Miraj Mahavidyalaya, Miraj, India
Abstract: This paper studies the role of MIMO-OFDM as foremost contributing performance factors in 4G LTE Wireless Transmission Technology from a technical perspective. Long Term Evolution (LTE) uses Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) along with MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) antenna technology standard to achieve high radio spectral efficiency and multi-carrier approach for multiple accesses. For the downlink OFDM is used and for the uplink SC-FDM (Single Carrier - Frequency Division Multiplexing) also known as DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform) is used. In this paper Bit-Error-Rate (BER) is calculated and measured with respect to Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). The higher SNR at the receiver enabled by MIMO, along with OFDM which provides improved coverage and throughput, especially in dense urban areas.

Abstract: Noisy image consist of unwanted data which may reduce the shape and size of objects in the image and blurring of edges or dilution of fine details in the image so eliminating such noise is an important pre-processing task. This process of removing noise is called Denoising. This paper presents a novel approach for simultaneously removing the Gaussian and Salt-n-pepper noise from a single image by using the proposed technique. In this paper, a new proposed technique using fast multidirectional filter bank and median filter is used which improves the radial frequency resolution of the image by addition decomposition in the high frequency band. Denoising performance of proposed technique will be compared with median and wiener filter. We analyze the performance of the proposed denoising technique using PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio) and Coc (Correlation coefficient).

Abstract: In the cloud environment, resources are shared among all of the servers, users and individuals. So it is difficult for the cloud provider to ensure file security. As a result it is very easy for an intruder to access, misuse and destroy the original form of data. In case of compromise at any cost; entrusting cloud is of no use. A need for "practically strong and infeasible to get attacked" technique becomes vital. The paper presents the file security model which uses the concept of hybrid encryption scheme to meet security needs. In the proposed model, encryption and decryption of files at cloud server is done using blowfish and modified version of RSA. Further, it is tested in cloud environment: OpenNebula.

A.AL-MARAKEBY, M.ZAKI Systems and Computers Engineering Dept., Faculty of Engineering, Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt
Abstract: Stereo matching is used in many computer vision applications such as 3D reconstruction, robot navigation, robotic surgery, 3-D video surveillance, and tracking object in 3D space. Real time stereo matching is difficult due to the heavy computation required for matching algorithms. In this paper a CPU/GPU heterogeneous computing platform is used to accelerate the processing and run the system in real time. The availability of GPUs (Graphics Processing Units) with hundreds of parallel processing cores, increases the speed of matching algorithms. In this work a combination between feature based and area based matching techniques is used. Feature based matching is fast while area based is robust and the used technique takes the advantages of the both. The stereo matching algorithms run over GeForce GPU and a real time processing is achieved with speed up to 15 frames/sec.

Abstract: The paper presents the simulation results obtained on a dc motor control system with a basic Fuzzy logic controller (FLC). From the last decade, the need for electric driven vehicle has risen rapidly due to the global warming problem. The traditional Proportional-Integral (P - I) controller, which has been widely used for the speed control of dc motor drives, has been compared with the relatively new Integral-Proportional (I-P) controller which first discussed in the year of 1978. P-I controller is used to control the speed of DC Motor. A model is developed and simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK. However, the P-I controller has some disadvantages such as: the high starting overshoot, sensitivity to controller gains and sluggish response due to sudden disturbance. So, the relatively new Integral-Proportional (I-P) controller is proposed to overcome the disadvantages of the P-I controller. This paper presents some improvements in this important field of industries. The simulation and the experimental results indicate the superiority of (I-P ) controller over (P-I ) controller. The proposed controller results in reduced oscillations around the set point which are present in system with a basic fuzzy logic controller.

Abstract: In cellular mobile communication system the large geographical area is subdivided into smaller regions called cell. This helps in effective utilization of bandwidth which is a scarce resource. A call originated in cell continues even when the Mobile Station has moved into the neighbouring cell. A channel from the neighbouring cell is allocated to the ongoing call. This process of allocation of available channel from neighbouring cell is called handoff. The numbers of approaches were proposed in order to provide handoff service in the literature. The proposed technique is used to reduce the load of base-station or mobile switching centres to provide better handoff service.

Performance Of Modified MAP Scheme For Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Over Fading Channels

Abstract: Cooperative spectrum sensing in cognitive radio is a robust strategy to combat fading and shadowing effects. However, large number of secondary users reporting to the fusion center for a final decision can cause significant delay. The local detectors transmit their log-likelihood ratio values in the descending order of their magnitudes. To obtain a quick and reliable decision, sequential detection is employed at the fusion center. Modified MAP scheme is proposed in which detection thresholds are calculated using maximum a posteriori (MAP) procedure with an imposed constraint on the number of sensors. Fading and shadowing effects on the reporting channels between the local detectors and the fusion center are explored. The performance of the proposed scheme is compared for the cases of perfect and fading reporting channels using simulation.

HARSHNA, NAVNEET KAUR M.Tech, Department Of Computer Science & Engineering of RIMT Institutions, MandiGobindgarh, Sirhind Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering of RIMT Institutions, MandiGobindgarh, Sirhind
Abstract: Today it is very essential to preserve a high level security to ensure safe and trusted communication of information between various organizations. But due to various threats like intrusions and misuses, secured data communication over internet and any other network is very difficult to achieve. So Intrusion Detection Systems have become a needful component in terms of computer security. An intrusion can be defined as any set of actions that compromise the three main aims of security i.e integrity, confidentiality or availability of a network resource(such as user accounts, file system, kernels & so on). Data mining plays a outstanding role in data analysis. So data mining plays an important role in Intrusion Detection System as it relays upon the auditing of data. These systems identify attacks and react by generating alerts or by blocking the unwanted data/traffic. The proposed work includes fuzzy logic with a data mining method which is a association rule mining method based on genetic algorithm. Due to the use of fuzzy logic, the system can deal with mixed type of attributes and also avoid the sharp boundary problem. Genetic algorithm is used to extract many rules which are required for anomaly detection systems. An association-rule- mining method is used to extract a sufficient number of important rules for the user‟s purpose rather than to extract all the rules meeting the criteria which are useful for misuse detection.

Abstract: This paper discusses the design of a pyramidal horn antenna with high gain, light weight, linearly polarized, suppressed side lobes for UWB applications. The procedure is straightforward, and determines the physical dimensions of pyramidal horn that determine the performance of the antenna. The length, flare angle, aperture diameter of the pyramidal antenna is examined. These dimensions will determine the required characteristics such as impedance matching, radiation pattern of the antenna. The proposed antenna is simulated with commercially available packages such as Ansoft HFSS. The antenna gives decent gain of about 35 dB over operating range while delivering 4-13 GHz bandwidth.

Abstract: The main theme of Secure Computing is to provide Data Security which can be well explained by a simple example. Suppose "X" owns a k-anonymous database and needs to determine whether "X" database, when inserted with a tuple owned by "Y", is still k-anonymous. Clearly, allowing "X" to directly read the contents of the tuple breaks the privacy of "Y". (e.g., a patient's medical record); In this place, "Y" not get the privacy of own information because the information of "Y" can be accessed by "X" without the prior knowledge of "Y". On the other hand, the confidentiality of the database managed by "X" is violated once "Y" has access to the contents of database. Thus, the problem is to check whether the database inserted with the tuple is still k-anonymous, without letting "X" and "Y" knows the contents of the tuple and database respectively. Here, we implement Homomorphism Cryptographic Algorithm to serve the purpose.

Abstract: As far as the software system is concerned, the reliability is one of the important quality attributes in software development process. The recently growing trends in software development process witnessed the paradigm shift to component based software. The reliability of component based software is difficult to estimate directly by taking the reliability of individual components into account and measuring the component reliability in software is not an easy task alike. In this paper we propose a method to estimate the reliability of the software consisting of components by using different neural network architectures. The proposed method considers software consisting of components divided into different sets and observes the number of faults encountered over a cumulative execution time interval for the known set of components and after this we estimate the number of faults predicted for the randomly chosen set of components in software over next cumulative execution time interval. In this process, we estimate the faults prediction behavior in the set of components over a cumulative execution time interval besides this the prediction of faults is estimated for the complete software. We apply the feed forward neural network architectures & its generalization capability to predict the faults in each component of the software with the prediction of faults for the complete software for given cumulative execution time.

Abstract: Real time performance analysis is critical during the design and integration of embedded software to guarantee that application time constraints will be met at run time. To select an appropriate operating system for an embedded system for a specific application, OS services needs to be analyzed. These OS services are identified by parameters to form Performance Metrics. From five performance parameters of real-time operating system, scheduling latency and interrupt latency are the fundamental constraints for improving real-time performance of Linux OS. The proper handling of Interrupt is given in this paper. This paper analyzed the performance metrics in order to select right OS for the specific embedded application and also suggested the mixed kernel architecture for advantage. Another way to handle interrupt mechanism is also discussed for Hybrid System.

Implementation of Energy Efficient technique using distribution election scheme based on GRMAC for Wireless Sensor Network
ANKUR KUMAR, SUMIT CHAUDHARY, SANGEETA SOLANKI Student, Communication Engineering, Shobhit University, Meerut, India Assistant Professor, Computer Science, Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar, India Assistant Professor, Computer Science, Shobhit University, Meerut, India
Abstract: The gridlock robust medium access control (GRMAC) is introduced in wireless sensor networks for collision-free channel access. GRMAC decreases the consumption of energy by allowing low-power and idle state to nodes whenever they are free i.e. neither transmitting nor receiving which ensures that all transmissions have no collisions including broadcast, unicast and multicast. GRMAC uses a time slot and a distribution election scheme which contains the information about the traffic at each node to find out which node can transmit at a particular time slot. GRMAC does not provide time slots to nodes which have no traffic to send, and also enable nodes to find out whether they are idle or not using the traffic information. GRMAC is good enough as no idle node is an intended receiver and no receiver suffers collisions. The efficiency of GRMAC can be find out through extensive simulations using both scenarios synthetic- as well as sensor-network. The results indicate that GRMAC gives contention-based protocols (e.g., CSMA, 802.11 and S-MAC) as well as scheduling-based protocols (e.g., NAMA) with significant energy savings.

SUBITHA.V, JENICKA.S Assistant Professor, Information Technology, SKP Engineering College, Tiruvannamalai, India Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Engineering, Einstein college of Engineering, Tirunelveli, India
Abstract: Image fusion is the process of integration of two or more source images into a single fused image. The resultant fused image is used to retain the important features of the source images. Color image fusion is the process of integrating one or more color images to enhance clarity of the image. The application of color image fusion simplifies object identification and helps in better cognition. In the existing system, image fusion is done on gray scale images by using the hybrid of Nonsubsampled Contourlet Transform (NSCT) and Stationary wavelet transform (SWT) techniques. In the proposed system, image fusion is done on color images by using the hybrid of Curvelet (CT) and Contourlet transform techniques. Curvelet and Contourlet transform techniques are multiscale-multidirectional decomposition techniques. The proposed hybrid technique called Serial Contourlet Aiding Curvelet Transform (SCAC) is applied on color images. From the experiments, it is shown that the proposed technique works better than the single multiresolution techniques in color images.

Abstract: In our contemporary world, multimedia transmission over wireless networks has grown in recent years, so there is more attention from research community. Providing a high quality multimedia transmission over wireless is challenging as it surrounds with strict timing constraint and high bandwidth demand. The Wireless communication is associated with challenges like limited bandwidth, interference and mobility which make it more difficult and challenging. In this paper we propose a novel dynamic random network coding (DRNC) scheme for video streaming over wireless mesh network which follows IEEE 802.11 protocol. Such scheme is built on the fact that network coding can increase the throughput of the network. The scheme is practically developed and integrated with NS-2 simulator. We have used BonnMotion in order to create different movements‟ scenarios. Static and dynamic scenarios of the underlining wireless network were investigated in different speeds of the movements. Dynamic scenarios include the random way point and random street. So, this work is not just providing a novel scheme; but it is also the first study to evaluate network coding over random street movements via wireless mesh networks. The performance evaluation of the quality includes calculating latency, jitter and packet delivery rate. It has been proved that DRNC has increased video streaming quality with static and mobile movements, as it was compared to simplified multicast forwarding (SMF) as an optimized traditional broadcast scheme.

CHANDANADATTA UPPALAPATI, ARUN KUMAR REDDY G.V, DR. S.SRI GOWRI B.Tech Student, ECE Department, SRK Institute of Technology, Vijayawada, AP, India B.Tech Student, ECE Department, SRK Institute of Technology, Vijayawada, AP, India Professor, ECE Department, SRK Institute of Technology, Vijayawada, AP, India
Abstract: In this paper, we investigate the effect of imperfect channel estimation on decode-and-forward (DF) cooperative diversity networks. There are two phases, the broadcasting phase and the relaying phase. In the first phase, the source broadcasts the message to the relays via flat Rayleigh fading channels. Relays that are capable of correctly decoding the source message will be working in the later phase i.e. the relaying phase. Initially, the output signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) at the destination is derived. Error and outage probabilities are considered as the performance metrics and exact closed-form expressions are derived for the same. The closed-form expression for outage probability is obtained for both non-coherent and coherent detection methods. These results are used to study the impact of imperfect channel estimation on the regenerative cooperative network. Asymptotic expression for the average symbol error probability is also derived and the inferences are discussed.

Design of Multiplier Using Regular Partial Products
BIPIN, MS.SAKSHI M-Tech VLSI Design, Thapar University, Patiala, India Assistant Professor, ECE Department, Thapar University, Patiala, India
Abstract: The conventional Modified Booth Encoding (MBE) generates n/2+1 rows instead of n/2 rows and also irregular partial product array because of the extra partial product bit at the LSB position of each partial product row. In this brief, a simple approach is proposed to generate n/2 partial product rows along with a regular partial product arrays and negligible overhead, thereby lowering the complexity of partial product and reducing the area and power of MBE multipliers. The proposed approach can also be utilized to regularize the partial product array of MBE multipliers along with the issue of disposal of the negative partial products efficiently by computing the 2's complement thereby avoiding the additional adder for adding 1 and generation of long carry chain. The proposed mechanism also continues to support the concept of reducing the partial product from n/2 +1 partial products achieved via modified booths algorithm to n/2.In this direct two's complement method has been used to reduce partial product rows from n/2+1 to n/2.Implementation results demonstrate that the proposed MBE multipliers with a regular partial product array really achieve significant improvement in area and power consumption when compared with conventional MBE multipliers. Here different multipliers have been designed and compared. These multipliers have been designed with the help of Verilog, simulated on Modelsim SE 6.3f and synthesized on Xilinx FPGA Spartan 3E xc3s500E, that helps in comparing their area, power and delay.

Abstract: Data mining is a relatively new field of research whose major objective is to acquire knowledge from large amounts of data. In medical and health care areas, due to regulations and due to the availability of computers, a large amount of data is becoming available. But the large amount of data cannot be processes by human being in the limited period. So we are using various data mining tools to process these data in health care efficiently and in the timely manner. We can also have expected outcome rather than manual calculation. In this dissertation we consider two types of medical database which one shows the analysis of breast cancer using various data mining and another one for mental health as a case study. Here the breast cancer consists of 10 attributes whereas minimum data set for mental health having 455 attributes. In this dissertation we consider some of the tools such as weka, cruise, discover E to evaluate and to develop classification rule rather than using some data mining algorithms. We can have most probably 70% to 80% accurate result. A further extension of the dissertation is to store this data into PDA and storing some of the classification rule to classify the amount of data which are available to provide real time assistance to reactionaries.

SAVITA BOROLE, PROF. S.D.SAPKAL M.E. Student (CSE), Professor (Department of CSE) Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India
Abstract: Biometrics is the science and technology of measuring and analyzing biological data. In Information technology, biometrics refers to technologies that measure and analyzes human body characteristic such as DNA, finger prints, eye retinas and irises for authentication purposes. Biometrics is used in computer science for the identification and access control. A novel descriptor for iris recognition is proposed by using dual-tree complex wavelet feature and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The approximate shift invariant property of the dual tree complex wavelet and directional selectivity in 2D makes it an ideal choice for iris recognition. SVM is used as a classifier and some kernel functions are tested in the experiment. The obtained result showed that the proposed approach enhances the classification accuracy. In this experimental results were also compared with the k-NN and Naïve Bayes classifier to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed technique.

A Novel (t, n) Threshold Secret Sharing Using Dot Product of Linearly Independent Vectors
SONALI PATIL, PRASHANT DESHMUKH Research Scholar, Sipna College of Engineering and Technology, Amravati - 444 701, Maharashtra, India
Abstract: Threshold schemes are ideally suited to situations where a group of mutually suspicious individuals with conflicting interests must cooperate. The schemes allow a user to divide portions of a secret among a participants group. Any t or more participants from a participants group of n members can cooperate to regain the original secret while (t-1) or fewer participants cannot reveal anything about the original secret. In this paper we proposed a (t, n) threshold secret sharing scheme using dot product of linearly independent vectors and Vandermonde matrix. The proposed scheme is ideal as share size is same as secret, perfect as (t-1) participants cannot retrieve any information about the secret and secure as based on dot product of problem. Also the proposed scheme can be extended for additional capabilities of secret sharing using properties of dot product of vectors.

Abstract: Traditional data storage is row oriented and ideal for write sensitive transaction process but they are not suitable for many read sensitive analytical processes. The Data Mining algorithms are analytical in nature and dig the hidden information from the well of structured/unstructured data. They are more analytic, deal with read/search/lookup process for data aggregation, will be potentially enabled by column oriented data storage rather than traditional row oriented storage. In column-oriented database systems (Column store), each database columns are stored separately in contiguous manner, compressed, and densely packed, as opposed to traditional database systems that store entire records (rows) one after the other. In this paper we review the architecture of various open sources column oriented databases like InfiniDB, Monetdb and Infobright. We have compared performance of column store over row stores for the simple tree based classification algorithm and CAIM discretization algorithm. The Novel rule based storage structure for the classification model is proposed, posses simple and efficient way of storage and access. Superior performance of the algorithm with column-stores, have answered the CPU utilization issues for such large-scale data- intensive applications.
